Died suddenly from Hemorrage

Stephen G. Adams aged 38
S. G. Adams, the rubber-stamp manufacturer, died suddenly at his place of business, 314 North Sixth street, last evening about 6 o’clock. He was in the habit of leaving his place of business every afternoon about 3:30 o’clock, but yesterday he remained downtown with the expectation of meeting some relatives who were to arrive from the East on the Wabash. Mr. Adams went to get shaved about 5 o’clock, and upon returning to his place of business seated himself at his desk, apparently Intending to write a letter. He was almost instantly seized with a violent hemorrhage and passed away in a few minutes, notwithstanding the efforts of a couple of physicians in the immediate vicinity who were called and responded at once. His wife who intended meeting Mr. Adams and accompanying him to the depot arrived at the store just as the corpse was being carried out to the undertaker’s wagon to be sent to the family’s residence. She had heard nothing of the death and the awful shock completely prostrated her.
