Fort MacArthur visit

During World War II (perhaps 1943), Rosemary, Claude Jr, and Bob were invited by Provost Marshall Gerry Byrne (head of Military Police) to visit Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA. Rosemary had some outings with Gerry when they were younger. Everyone had lunch in the mess hall.

Gerry took Claude and Bob to see the shoreline protection 14″ cannons, which could fire a shell all the way to Catalina Island 20 miles away.
