Steve took a trip to Glacier National Park in 2008. There were stunning views and fantastic hiking trails.
I called Dad and told him about Glacier and he said, “I don’t care much for scenery.” I was eating trail mix and crackers during the day and one hot meal. I called Mom and told her what I was eating and she said, “You and Rebecca and your diets…” I told Mom it would be great for John and Rebecca and come to Montana and hike. (They would have been about 12 and 13 years old at the time.) She said, “Hiking is for city people. They wouldn’t want to hike, they have horses to ride.”
